History of CCS

In June 2001, Lyceum of the Philippines decided to put up the College of Computer Studies (CCS) to cater to a rapidly increasing demand for IT Professionals. During the previous five (5) years in which it was offered, the BS Computer Science Program was under the administration of the College of Engineering (COE).When Lyceum decided to offer other Information Technology courses, the new College was established. By adding at least three new courses related to the Information Technology industry, Lyceum separated the Computer Science students from COE to set up the College of Computer Studies (CCS).

The previous Deans of the CCS were Mr. Julianito G. Bucayan, Jr. (2001 – 2002), Mr. Vincente V. Pijano III (2003-2004), and Mr. John Peter Abraham Q. Ruero (2005-2007). The current dean is Mr. Samuel S. Chua.

The college offers three (3) degree programs, which are Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), and Bachelor of Science in Information System (BSIS), former Bachelor of Science in Information Management (BSIM). The college also offers a two-year degree program, Associate in Computer Technology (ACT).
