The BS Nursing program is crafted from the BSN Curriculum framework that seek outcomes of a professional nurse who possesses caring behaviors; practices ethical-legal and moral responsibilities/accountabilities; demonstrates critical and creative thinking skills in the care of clients across the lifespan in various clinical settings. The nursing process is utilized as framework for nursing practice anchored on competency standards.

The College of Nursing , a Level 1 PACUCOA accredited nursing program adopts an outcomes based curriculum threading throughout the professional, general and basic sciences, the 7 learning goals of the University: communication skills, creative thinking skills, ways of information retrieval and evaluation, collaborative competencies, entrepreneurial skills, computer related competencies and bioethical principles.

Instruction is compliant with CMO #30 and # 14 of the Commission on Higher Education and a rooster of highly qualified faculty members with varied skills of specialization and writing contributors to the ADPCN BSN Curriculum Resource Units and IMCI ensures the desired implementation of the curriculum, thus producing graduates with competencies in meeting the needs of local and international market.

The College of Nursing has Seamen’s Hospital as its base hospital and has various affiliations with secondary, tertiary and specialized hospitals, adopted communities, health centers and lying-in clinics, wellness centers, occupational, diagnostics and gerontology agencies.

The small classroom and RLE ratio of faculty as mentors with students ensures focused and conducive teaching –learning environment.

A culture of research, entrepreneurship and community extension enhances the competitiveness of the graduates for local or foreign employability.

LPU-CON has a track record of one of the top performing nursing school in the Philippines based on the results of the graduates’ performance in the Nurse Licensure Examination administered by the Board of Nursing, Professional Regulations Commission.
